PHILIPP PLEIN
Wild, sexy, feminin – Summercollection 2010
Was der Deutsche Designer und Modemacher Philipp Plein kreiert, ist Luxus und zugleich Rebellion. Philipp, der eigentlich Rechtswissenschaften studiert hatte, wurde vom starken Kunstinteresse seiner Eltern geprägt. Zahlreiche Reisen und damit verbundene Besuche in Museen, weckten früh sein Interesse für Kunst, Architektur und fremde Kulturen. 1998 begann er exklusive Möbelstücke für seine Familie und Freunde zu entwerfen und ergänzte das 2004 mit einer Streetfashion-Kollektion. Der talentierte Kreateuer gewann 2007 den GQ Award National Brand of the Year und ein Jahr später den New Faces Award in der Kategorie Fashion.
2008 stattete er Heidi Klum und die Teilnehmerinnen von Germany’s Next Topmodel in Barcelona mit einer «Heavy Metal»-Kollektion aus und verpflichtete die internationalen Topmodels Naomi Campbell und Marcus Schenkenberg für eine Vogue Kampagne.
2009 kooperierte Philipp Plein mit Mattel und präsentierte zum 50. Geburtstag der Kultpuppe «Barbie» die «Philipp-Plein-Barbie» am 4. Februar 2009 auf der Spielzeugmesse in Nürnberg.
