“One of 100” to celebrate the Maserati Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition. To celebrate the Maserati Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition, the exclusive sedan produced in a limited series of 100 cars, Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna launched a tour of 4 international events that began in Shanghai in July 2014, and was followed by events in New York (September 2014), and Dubai (March 2015), before the final event on July 2, 2015, at the Milanese headquarters of the Zegna Group. The concept of these events was conceived both to present the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition to a selected audience of guests, and to celebrate the partnership between the two Italian brands, both of whom are masters in craftsmanship and leaders of Italian excellence.
During the final event in Milan, the book “One of 100” was presented. “One of 100” showcases photographs of the hands of 100 prominent personalities, approximately 25 for each of the events, taken by the world renowned Italian photographer Fabrizio Ferri.
The 100 talents, among whom musicians, chefs, athletes, artists and designers, were chosen because they use their hands as key instruments of their trade. These hands are at the center of Ferri’s photographs, and are used to tell the story of how they express the character of each individual through their innate communicative value.
The book “One of 100” highlights the relationship between the hands and the Quattroporte, between the common values shared by both brands, and the concept of “handmade”, which emphases artisanship, exclusivity and excellence. The shots of the hands are enriched by the parallelism with the interior and exterior details of the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition, as well as those of the “Owner’s Collection”, which is a set of elegant accessories designed by Zegna exclusively for the limited edition sedan.
As symbol of the importance of heritage and craftsmanship for both brands, Maserati and Zegna will be the first two companies to support the restoration of the Fountain of Neptune, a monumental civic fountain located in the eponymous square, Piazza Nettuno, in Bologna, Italy.
